Code Breach Lab
About us

iOS security specialists with a strict code of conduct.

Code Breach Lab was founded on a simple idea: the people who secure iOS apps best are the people who build them — and the best way to defend an app is to test it the way a real adversary would, lawfully, transparently and with the owner’s explicit consent.

Who we are

A focused team of iOS developers and security specialists

We are a boutique consultancy specializing in iOS: experienced iOS engineers who build production apps in Swift and Objective-C, working alongside mobile penetration testers and vulnerability researchers. That combination means we can both find a weakness in your iOS app and show your engineers exactly how to fix it. Our consultants hold industry certifications including OSCP, OSWE and CISSP.

We work with startups shipping their first iOS app, fintech, health and consumer companies preparing for audits or App Store launches, and enterprises managing large iPhone and iPad fleets. Whatever the size, the approach is the same: senior people, careful scoping, verified and authorized engagements, and findings that are easy to act on.

Our mission

Make iOS apps harder to break.

We help organizations understand the real-world risk in their iOS apps and devices and fix what matters most — before it is discovered by someone without permission.

Integrity first

We only test what we are authorized to test, report everything we find, and never retain client data beyond the agreed period.

Clarity over jargon

Our reports explain impact in business terms and give engineers precise, reproducible steps to fix every issue.

Partnership

We work alongside your team, share knowledge openly and measure success by how much stronger you are when we leave.

Authorized testing only

Our Rules of Engagement

Everything we do is lawful, consent-based security work. These principles apply to every engagement, without exception.

We will not test systems without written authorization from their owner, and we decline any request to access, disrupt or target third-party systems. We do not sell exploits, malware, intrusion tools or unauthorized access of any kind.

  1. Written authorizationA signed authorization letter from the legal owner of every in-scope asset is required before testing begins.
  2. Defined scopeTargets, IP ranges, applications and excluded systems are agreed in writing. Anything out of scope is off-limits.
  3. Client-approved devices & buildsiOS testing is performed on test devices, builds and accounts approved by the client. We never target end-users’ personal devices or third-party apps you don’t own.
  4. Verified clientsWe verify the identity, organization and legitimate purpose of every client before an engagement — and decline any request we cannot verify.
  5. Agreed test windowsTesting happens only during approved dates and times, with named points of contact on both sides.
  6. Safety & stabilityWe avoid destructive techniques and denial-of-service unless explicitly approved, and stop immediately if instability is observed.
  7. Immediate escalationCritical findings or signs of a prior compromise are reported to your contact right away, not held for the final report.
  8. ConfidentialityAll work is under NDA. Findings and evidence are encrypted in transit and at rest and securely destroyed after the retention period.
  9. Legal complianceEngagements are conducted in line with applicable computer-misuse, privacy and data-protection laws in every relevant jurisdiction.
